俳優・横浜流星主演のＮＨＫ大河ドラマ「べらぼう～蔦重栄華乃夢噺（つたじゅうえいがのゆめばなし）～」（日曜・午後８時、初回１５分拡大版）の第１話「ありがた山の寒がらす」が５日、放送された。 今回は、明和の大火から１年半、蔦重こと蔦屋重三郎（横浜）は茶屋で働く傍ら貸本業を営んでいた。ある日、幼なじみの花魁・花の井（小芝風花）から朝顔（愛希れいか）に届けものを託される。しかし、蔦重が浄念河岸の二文字屋を訪れると、ひどく衰弱した朝顔の姿があった。吉原の場末である河岸見世の女郎たちの酷い惨状を見て思い悩む蔦重。そんな中、吉原で付け火の事件が起き、騒然となると…いうストーリーだった。 （以下、ネタバレがあります。ご注意下さい） 明和の大火の大スペクタルシーンで幕を開けた初回。荘厳なオープニングテーマ後の開始１０分過ぎ、今作に蔦重らを見守る吉原の九郎助稲荷（くろすけいなり）として出演し、語りも担当する綾瀬はるかが花魁（おいらん）姿でお尻にモフモフのキツネのしっぽを着けたキュートな姿で登場した。 「えっ？ 吉原って何って？ では、私、九郎助稲荷が軽くご案内申しましょう」とほほ笑むと、舞台となる吉原遊郭について「吉原と言うのは男が女と遊ぶ街。幕府公認、江戸唯一の色里です。市中との位置関係と言いますと…」と、いきなりスマホを取り出すと、地図アプリを見せながら遊郭街を案内していった。 綾瀬の衝撃のしっぽ付き花魁姿と、いきなりのスマホ登場にネットも沸騰。 放送後にはＸ（旧ツイッター）のトレンドで「＃大河べらぼう」のワードが１位に急浮上。ネット上には「綾瀬はるかのケモ尻尾姿がかわい過ぎる件！」「綾瀬さんのお着物姿、超似合ってる～ しかし大河初回にいきなりスマホとは」「スマホの地図アプリ大河初出演！初回からこれを出すか～」などの驚きの声があふれた。 大河ドラマ６４作目となる同作は日本のメディア産業、ポップカルチャーの礎を築き、時にお上に目を付けられても面白さを追求し続けた「江戸のメディア王」蔦屋重三郎の生涯を笑いと涙と謎に満ちた物語として描く。 横浜はＮＨＫドラマ及び大河ドラマ初出演。連続テレビ小説「ごちそうさん」（２０１３年）や大河ドラマ「おんな城主 直虎」（２０１７年）などを手がけた森下佳子氏が脚本を担当。ＮＨＫドラマ初出演の横浜が主人公を演じる。語りは綾瀬、音楽はジョン・グラム氏が手がける。
