Kendall Jenner glided down the runway at the Jacquemus spring 2024 show in Versailles, France on June 26, exuding an ethereal elegance. The 27-year-old supermodel captivated the audience in a stunning white dress from the luxury label, boasting an off-the-shoulder style and a figure-hugging silhouette. She completed the look with square-toe heels and a choker adorned with dazzling gems. With her sleek bun and dangling earrings, the California native exuded sophistication from head to toe.
The fashion house’s designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, unveiled the presentation at the prestigious Palace of Versailles. The event attracted a star-studded guest list, including Eva Longoria, Victoria Beckham, Emily Ratajkowski, Claire Foy, and many others. Alongside Jenner, renowned runway star Gigi Hadid also confidently graced the catwalk.
The collection showcased a whimsical display of daydreams, featuring models adorned in ethereal gowns, billowy trousers, sheer frocks, and other airy, vibrant garments. Speaking to WWD, Jacquemus expressed his inspiration from the historical location, leading him to delve into numerous creative avenues during the design process.
Jenner’s appearance in France follows her candid interview with WSJ. Magazine, where she discussed her career, in a piece released on June 21st. As the founder of 818 Tequila, she expressed gratitude for her life, while admitting that she doesn’t always embrace being in the spotlight.
“I consider myself incredibly fortunate to lead the life I do,” she expressed to the publication. “However, I must admit that the challenges outweigh the ease for me… I simply happened to be born into this existence without having consciously chosen it. I am not naturally suited for it. I lack proficiency in navigating its complexities. Nevertheless, I have adapted and acquired the necessary skills to manage.”
Kendall Jenner expressed her thoughts, stating, “Rather than pity myself, I acknowledge that it can be quite overwhelming… My family, in particular, faces a lot of cruelty. People tend to twist everything and view it in a negative light.”
Jenner’s presence in the spotlight may not always be ideal, but she has established a solid reputation in the fashion industry. Marc Jacobs, who selected Jenner for her debut major fashion show in 2014, also commended her strong work ethic in the WSJ. interview.
“[Kendall is a] very rare breed of model that has the beauty and has the larger-than-life personality, and truly brings this kind of magic to the clothes and photographs,” the designer said.
