WASHINGTON, DC (7News) — A cold start to the day in the 20s and 30s will bring a chilly afternoon with high temperatures near 40 degrees. Northwest breezes will keep wind chills in the 20s and 30s across the area.
The First Alert Weather Team will continue the Cold Alert for Saturday, and again on Monday with repeat temperatures and wind chills.
Sunday’s temperatures and wind chills should improve slightly but will still feel chilly across the area.
As schools return after the holiday weekend, the bus stop will be very cold Monday morning with wind chills as low as 18 degrees.
The cold air looks to stay in place through the upcoming week. Thursday may bring a rebound in temperatures to 50 degrees before another cold front moves in with upper 30s by next weekend.
Stay tuned for any rain and snow chances, but the forecast is mostly dry through next weekend.
