Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. are back at it again in Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, a sequel to their 2018 heist flick Den of Thieves, opening in theaters this weekend. And this time around, things are pretty much exactly the same.
Written and directed by Christian Gudegast, who also wrote and directed the first film, Den of Thieves 2 finds sheriff “Big Nick” O’Brien (Butler) once again tracking down the criminal Donnie Wilson (Jackson Jr.), who escaped to Europe and is planning another heist. That guy just can’t get enough of stealing stuff! Meadow Williams will also reprise her role from the first film, and other cast members include Evin Ahmad, Salvatore Esposito, and Swen Temmell. This sequel was originally supposed to come out in 2024, but was delayed. Don’t worry, because the wait is finally over.
Here’s all the information you need to know about how to watch Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, including when we expect to see Den of Thieves 2: Pantera on digital and streaming on Starz.
For now, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, January 10. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Den of Thieves 2 is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Den of Thieves 2 is not streaming on Netflix, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Lionsgate release in the U.K., and will likely stream on Starz, the streaming platform owned by Lionsgate, instead.
You will be able to purchase Den of Thieves 2 on Amazon Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Den of Thieves 2 on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Den of Thieves 2 movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Starz.

Den of Thieves 2 is not yet streaming on Starz. You might see Den of Thieves 2 on Starz in spring 2025, because that is the streaming platform owned by Lionsgate. Another Lionsgate film, Borderlands, was released on premium video-on-demand after three weeks in theaters, and began streaming on Starz on December 25, about four and a half months after the movie opened in the theaters.
If Den of Thieves 2 follows the same release pattern, you can expect to see the movie on digital by the end of this month, and on Starz in about four and a half months, which would be around late May 2025.
But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Den of Thieves 2: Pantera right away, you can watch it in a movie theater.
