One of the most enjoyable new shows of late 2024/early 2025 is Taylor Sheridan’s Landman.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, Paramount+’s exciting new series takes place in the fortune-seeking world of West Texas oil rigs. The fervently beloved show centers on Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris, an exasperated no-nonsense crisis management executive for an oil company dealing with numerous personal and professional problems. From drug cartels and on-the-job deaths to the tornado of chaos known as his ex-wife (the terrific Ali Larter), Landman’s star-studded cast and unpredictable storytelling will fill that Yellowstone-shaped void in your streaming schedule.
The season finale (Season 1, Episode 10: “The Crumbs of Hope”) premieres Sunday, January 12 at 3:00 a.m. ET on Paramount+. But what about Season 2? Will Landman be back for a second season of intrigue? Here’s everything we know.
The first season consists of ten episodes.
The show has yet to receive an official renewal, but a second season seems like a foregone conclusion. The series has earned acclaim from both critics and audiences, and Paramount isn’t exactly in the business of turning down Taylor Sheridan shows. Landman star Demi Moore seemingly confirmed a second season while promoting The Substance in May 2024.
“I’ve already completed the first season and I’m excited for us to start the second, which will be at the beginning of next year,” Moore said during a talk at the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.
Again, we don’t have any official confirmation, but we strongly believe that Landman will be back for a second season.
You can stream Landman on Paramount+, which is available for as little as $7.99/month or $59.99/year. Paramount+ with Showtime, which includes a CBS live stream, is available for $12.99/month (or $119.99/year). The platform offers a 25% student discount and a seven-day free trial for eligible subscribers.
Finally, you can also add Paramount+ to your Prime Video account for an extra $12.99/month. You can sample Paramount+ on Amazon with a seven-day free trial.
Nope. The series is exclusive to Paramount+.
