Rumer Willis Shares Heartwarming Childhood Photo To Celebrate Mom Demi Moore’s First-Ever Oscar Nomination

Rumer Willis is one proud daughter! The 36-year-old just shared the sweetest childhood photo to celebrate her mom Demi Moore’s first-ever Oscar nomination — and you can feel their special bond through the screen!

“OSCAR NOMINATED @demimoore,” the My Divorce Party star wrote on her Instagram story today. She also posted a flashback snap of her and Moore looking like twins in white shirts with their brown hair sheared short. Moore leans down to hug her daughter, who hugs her mom’s arm and leans into her chest for the heartwarming portrait.

The Ghost alum was nominated for Best Actress at the 97th Academy Awards today for her film, The Substance. She released a statement about this historic moment, per Good Morning America: “Being nominated for an Oscar is an incredible honor and these last few months have been beyond my wildest dreams. Truly there are no words to fully express my joy and overwhelming gratitude for this recognition. Not only for me but for what this film represents.”

She also took a moment to acknowledge the Los Angeles wildfires that have devastated the community this month. “I am deeply humbled,” Moore continued. “This is a time of incredible contrasts and right now, my heart is with my friends, family, neighbors, and community here in LA. The fires have devastated so many lives but to see the way our community has united leaves me in awe of the resilience and compassion that defines us, and this moment is a reminder of how incredible we are when we stand together.”

The G.I. Jane star won her first Golden Globe Award for “Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Film” earlier this month, and her daughters reacted in the best way. Moore, who shares Rumer, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex Bruce Willis, accepted the award with her daughters and other friends watching from a viewing party. When her name was announced, the leaped from the floor and cheered and clapped.

“SHE DID IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭,” Scout captioned the joint Instagram post before commenting, “😭😭😭😭😭😭 this is a huge win for EVERYONE.”

On the red carpet, Moore told Entertainment Tonight that being a mom (and grandma to Rumer’s 1-year-old daughter Louetta) makes these wins even more special.

“Ultimately that is what’s most important because all of this without that would be not quite as rich or as sweet but the balance of it is perfection,” Moore said.
