The iconic actor and comedian, one of the original cast members of “Saturday Night Live,” came into One World with a group of four other people, staff member Quincy Fussner said. Chase was in Peoria for a 35th anniversary screening of “Christmas Vacation” and live conversation at the Peoria Civic Center. That show was Monday night.
Chase visited at least two others eateries while in the Peoria area. He dined at Jim’s Steakhouse on Saturday and at The 520 Cafe in East Peoria on Monday morning ahead of the show.

While at One World, the comedian ordered orange juice and a breakfast sandwich with ham. Fussner said Chase was kind to staff and they had good interactions with him.
“He was polite,” Fussner said. “Obviously cracked some jokes, and other than that, he was a nice customer to wait on overall.”
