Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes snubbed for 2025 NFL Pro Bowl honors

Despite leading his team to a 15-1 record and the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was not selected to be part of the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl selection when rosters were announced on Thursday, January 2.

Though Mahomes’ 2025 campaign has been mediocre relative to his outstanding accomplishments in years past, Cincinnati Bengals signal-caller Joe Burrow supplanted the reigning Super Bowl MVP as the AFC’s third-rostered quarterback beside Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Mahomes has been selected to participate in six Pro Bowls in his career, making the cut every year in an impressive run from 2018 until 2023.

Despite his experience in the annual All-Star game, Mahomes’ participation in the Pro Bowl has been limited in recent years due to Kansas City’s incredible postseason success, which saw the Chiefs compete for Super Bowl titles in 2022 and 2023.

Fans can expect Mahomes to take this latest snub personally as Kansas City looks ahead to the playoffs.
