The ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ actor Gal Gadot has recently purchased a wonderful house by the shore of Malibu, California, worth $5 million which was constructed in 1984. Coincidence, isn’t it?
Married to Yaron Varson, a real estate developer, Gal Gadot owns houses in Israel and Hollywood hills. But this ocean-front Malibu condo, which she has purchased as a holiday home, came up in the news quite massively due to its excellent location between Nobu and Malibu Pier and contemporary modern architecture. While its design is a bit outdated, it is difficult to compete with its breathtaking scenery.
She purchased the house from Bui Simon, the Thai Philanthropist and former Miss Universe. Bui bought the property way back in 1994, before her marriage to billionaire real estate developer and Indiana Pacers owner, Herbert Simon, for only $850,000. She has pocketed over $4 million on her initial investment. Her deal with Gadot worked out to $2,500 per square foot, and the transaction was handled by Chris Cortazzo at Compass from both ends. Although, even in 2020, paying $5 million for a condo stands as a big number but it is not just any ordinary condo.
Located in one of the best sections of Malibu, the penthouse is a part of a blocky gated complex that is transferred with two deeded off-street parking spots. There exist three other similar units in the complex, but none of them are currently owned by any celebrities. Looming directly over the sand, this complex is just a quick jog from Larry Ellison’s ever-trendy Nobu Malibu restaurant. This house is perfectly designed to have moments of peace and, above all, relaxation, since its location is perfect to have an impressive view.
Sprawling across almost 2000 square feet, the penthouse has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms facing the beautiful Pacific Ocean and is covered with a wall of glass opening onto a tile-floor dining balcony above the sand. The overall interior is sleek, white, and modern, creating a perfect contrast of warm, clean tones against the water’s brilliant blue.
Other areas are decked up with a formal dining area, and kitchen with top-in-class kitchen appliances, thick slabs of granite countertops, and custom cabinetry, alongside a family room with plush beige carpeting. The two bedrooms are both fixed with wall-to-wall beige carpeting. They offer intimate, spacious ensuite baths, and the master has two bathrooms of its own. Complete with these day-to-day luxuries, this $5M seaside penthouse is expected to cost Gal Gadot an additional US$1,240 per month in HOA dues, though that balcony and its spectacular whitewater views, along with the famous Malibu sunsets, are likely to make it all worthwhile.

The kitchen beautifully conjoins with the living and dining areas of this bright condo. Along with the modern furniture and wooden floors, the living area is also adorned with some large indoor plants. Six floor-to-ceiling windows provide an indoor-outdoor feel and impart a 24/7 exposure to the picturesque coastline.

Gadot and her husband continue to maintain their Israel home and the $5.6 million residence in the Hollywood Hills. They purchased that contemporary mansion about a few years ago; like this new Malibu vacation home, that place is also blessed with long and wide views from its clifftop perch.
As for Simon, now she owns a much larger home on Malibu’s exclusive Carbon Beach, plus a massive compound in Montecito. Back in 2018, she paid a record $38 million for an East Coast traditional-style estate on one of the best streets in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, and California.
