TOKYO — Japan will introduce a 10-year multiple-entry tourist visa aimed at affluent Chinese as it looks to stimulate consumption. Other measures include doubling the maximum length of stay for tourists who travel in groups, as well as exempting travelers 65 and older from a requirement to submit proof of employment.

The measures were introduced during talks held between Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday as both countries vowed to continue holding high-level exchanges to improve ties.
