On Jan. 21, Kanye West took to social media to share a new fashion venture seemingly inspired by his wife Bianca Censori‘s ultra-risqué looks.
The rapper posted a photo of a thong bodysuit as he announced an upcoming Yeezy women’s fashion line.
“Yzy women’s coming next…For anyone in clothing that doesn’t work at Yeezy be afraid Be very afraid,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post that remained on his Instagram Stories.
“No corporations leveraging my platform Using me to get to us Overcharging our community while ignoring my vision and direction,” he continued. “They didn’t care about my freedom or vision. Now my vision is coming to life and I have a John Wick vendetta against every fashion company.”
The piece of clothing in the post was a small black bodysuit with thin straps and a thong bottom. It appeared very similar to risqué clothing commonly worn by Censori.
Fans quickly shared their thoughts online, with one person posting a photo of the update and writing, “YZY WOMENS COMING NEXT! NEED🔥🔥.”
However, many people felt differently about the project, slamming the potential design in the comments.
“Wtf is that,” questioned one person, as another said, “Literally look like a trash bag.”
“Yeah, I wouldn’t buy this for my girl,” said someone else, while a different fan commented, “Bro thats barely any piece of clothing 😭.”
Another person joked about the seemingly small size of the garment on a different post about the fashion line, saying, “thats a weird covid mask.”
Despite the backlash, there were also excited supporters of West’s women’s line, with replies like, “We’re soooooo back,” and “Biancas clothing line boutta go crazy👀.”
West shared no further information about the Yeezy women’s line, including when fans might be able to expect its release.
