The holidays can be a challenge for any number of reasons. And sometimes, even if it is Christmas, you need to get out of the house and grab a cup of coffee or maybe even something for breakfast. That could mean making a trip to the closest Dunkin’ for a hot cup of coffee, a breakfast sandwich and maybe even a donut or two.
But on Christmas Day, the real question is whether or not they are actually open. Unfortunately, there’s no clear answer to this. While there will absolutely be locations that are open on December 25, there are plenty that will also be closed. (Franchise locations may not be open for the holiday.)
In fact, when we did our research, we found that the Dunkin’ we usually go to will be closed on Christmas Day. And since I am in Massachusetts, we have a lot of Dunkin’ locations to choose from. So when I expanded my search, I noticed that about half of the locations near me will be closed. However, that meant that the other half were open and operating, most with reduced hours.
As with many restaurant chains, the best way to find out what your locations holiday hours are is to check out their app. You can also go online and check out their website and the store locator page, however, the best way to find out for sure if the closest location is open is through the app.

Honestly, now that we know which locations near us will be open, we are already planning which coffee we will be grabbing, because they currently have their holiday menu available. If you want to try their peppermint mocha latte, now is the time to do so. Or maybe you’re in the mood to try a holiday cookie latte, they have that too (for a limited time).
With it being Christmas Day, there is no better time to order some of these festive drinks than today. This is your chance to splurge on something delicious, and in some cases new to you. And if you are planning to just stick to your regular cup of coffee, that’s fine too as there are some other menu items worth checking out, including the almond croissant which we have tried, and even the cookie butter flavored donut. There’s even some savory additions to the menu worth checking out.
All things considered, it is definitely worth checking out the app to find out if your local Dunkin’ will in fact be open on Christmas Day. And even if your closest Dunkin’ is closed, there is always December 26 when they reopen with their normal hours.
