‘Dwayne Johnson Is Dropping It’: Roman Reigns Breaks Silence on The Rock Using His Easter Egg in Highly-Acclaimed TV Show

A dream match that every pro wrestling fan is waiting for in the WWE is Roman Reigns Vs. The Rock. The fight between both superstars is anticipated for a long time now. And the world wants to see the outcome of the fight between the two Samoan cousins in WrestleMania.

However, neither Roman Reigns nor Dwayne Johnson have ever denied the possibility of going face to face with each other in WrestleMania. The Rock has officially retired from WWE in 2019, but it’s not a new thing for pro wrestlers to return from their retirement for the “One Last Fight”.

Dwayne Johnson has also teased a fight between both the superstars in the NBC sitcom ‘Young Rock’. In an episode, it shows a young Roman Reigns who wants to wrestle Johnson, to which the character of The Rock replies, “The world’s not ready, a match that big can only happen in WrestleMania.”

This scene turned a pipe dream into an attainable goal for wrestling fans. The sitcom Young Rock is based on the early life of Dwayne Johnson. The show is based on a kayfabe reality, just like the wrestling world where Dwayne Johnson is running for presidential elections while narrating his early life struggles in an interview.

And recently in the Sports Illustrated podcast Reigns reacted to the Easter egg.

Roman Reigns on the Easter egg in Young Rock

On the question of the dream match between him and The Rock and if the Easter egg of the show is true, Reigns gave a humble reply.

“Dwayne’s dropping it within his own project, so it’s got to be pretty good. It’s got to be pretty special. I think that just goes to show the clamoring, the buzz for it, the chatter for it, the wishful thinking, is something that he definitely played into within, “Young Rock “, which as you know, with him, everything’s highly strategical. A lot of synergy with everything that he does with the projects that he’s guiding and has in mind. So yeah, I would say just based off that alone, it looks even better than it did last time we spoke.”
