The SNL-turned-movie star talked with News 8 about why he likes stops like this
Rochester, N.Y. — For some families it’s become a tradition as baked in as Christmas cookies.
Everyone sits around the glow of the TV to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, quoting it throughout.
This year, those Vacation diehards can turn back the clock and watch it on the big screen with other fans.
RBTL will screen the movie, which turns 35 this year, on December 29 at 7:30 pm at the West Herr Auditorium Theatre.
After the credits roll, the man at the top of them will take the stage.
Chevy Chase will take questions and offer up hilarity as he did in 2019 when he took part in a Q-and-A following a screening of Caddyshack at Kodak Center.
Asked why he tours like this, Chase told Adam Chodak this:
“At the shows I even say, listen, you make movies, you’re in a room with 12 people, you never really get a chance to see the fans, so doing these shows I get to see sometimes 2-3,000 people who are fans.”
Tickets for the RBTL event range from $60 to $90.
